Sewa USA

The Movement Sewa International started in UK in 1991 and since then has spread over to 15 countries. Registered as a Trust in the year 1997 in India, we celebrating our anniversary this year.

SEWA International is an organization entirely run by dedicated volunteers, heralding from all sections of the community, working together to Serve to Humanity.

Our Motto is “NAR SEWA NARAYAN SEWA” which Means “Serving Humanity is Serving God”.

Sewa USA is a Non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization with International presence. It is supported NGOs has over 25 years of experience and has the capability to develop volunteers from the local population. Sewa USA helps victims regardless of caste, class, creed, color or religion.

Sewa USA channels donations to reputable non-profit and non-governmental (NGO) organizations such as:

• Sewa Bharati,
• Vivekananda Kendra,
• Vidya Bharati,
• Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram
• And more….

Sewa International is an umbrella for 45,000 projects and programs all over India, 80 types of activities and has more than 150,000 volunteers involved in running these programs and projects.

Some Sewa activities in USA include "Ek Shaam Sewa Ke Naam" - Evergreen Bollywood Musical Hits Night (April 29,2005) and Tsunami Cup - Volleyball Tournament (Feb 12-13, 2005) in Atlanta. In California, Bollywood Leharen - A concert for Tsunami Relief (Feb 27, 2005) at Sunnyvale and many more.

Our NGOs has over 25 years of experience in providing short-term and long-term relief operations in areas affected by natural calamities. We helped victims of

• Gujarat earthquake
• Orissa flood
• Latur earthquake
• Guyana Flood Relief
• Tsunami in Asia
• and many other calamities

Sewa USA also has Welfare & Educational Projects which include Welfare of tribal people, Organizing schools for poor children, blood donation camps and health care seminars.
