Sunday evening (29th June 2008) at Global mall promised to be an overdose of laughter, parody, satire, and patriotism.
After immensely successful runs in the past three years, SewaUSA International (www.sewausa.org), a global non-profit service organization, presented "Hansi Ke Favvare" – A Hindi Standup Comedy - for the fourth time in a row. Through this event, which is more of a tradition, SewaUSA International serves the national language, Hindi and also the national identity of Indians in Metro Atlanta.

Laughter is the best medicine and thats why Atlanta chapter of Sewa International brings you "Hansi Ke Favvare" 2008 - Hindi Standup Comedy - Fourth time in a row.

This year, we are featuring two prominent Kavis from Bharat, with mastery over an appealing combination of Genres: Political satire and Everyday life comedy. This combination will leave you spellbound and keep you yearning for more.
All proceeds from the fund raising literary event will go towards Gram Arogya Rakshak social development projects in India. This unique project focuses on training an experienced nurse/medical representative person for an entire village at a nominal cost of 1 dollar a day.

With the blessing of a glorious warm and sunny weather, Alpharetta played host to the Festival of Colors this spring of 2008. Lions Pavilion@Wills Park, Alpharetta was a colorful scene as 700 people including youngsters, children and elders celebrated Holi.
Spring was in the air and reverberating through the ambiance. The saturday morning was still young as Holi enthusiasts started streaming in, eager to enjoy the festival and mark the occasion with joyful colors.

Holi - the festival of colors - is undoubtedly the most fun-filled and boisterous of Hindu festival. It's an occasion that brings in unadulterated joy and mirth, fun and play, music and dance, and, of course, lots of bright colors.
Amongst India's innumerable festivals, Holi ranks as the most colourful. It celebrates the arrival of spring and death of demoness Holika, it is a celebration of joy and hope.The colorful festival of Holi is celebrated on Phalgun Purnima which comes in February end or early March. Holi festival has an ancient origin and celebrates the triumph of 'good' over 'bad'.

Health Fair for Hispanic Community - Aug 2005
Recognizing the growing Health needs of the un-insured people in the Hispanic community, Sewa International USA, on August 28th 2005 and October 8th 2005, organized two health fairs for the Hispanic community in collaboration with The Hispanic Support Group (HSG) Inc., at The Calvary Church in Duluth GA. The Objective of the Health Fair was preliminary inspection and diagnosis of breast cancer in women. After Preliminary diagnosis patients were referred for Mammograms. Many Women from the Hispanic community Came forward to avail themselves of this novel opportunity.
