The recent conflict in Sri Lanka has left nearly two million people in the Northern and Northeastern parts of Sri Lanka homeless. Many of these displaced people are living in camps arranged by Sri Lankan authorities. The devastating war has left thousands wounded and countless families distanced from their kith and kin.
The Sri Lankan conflict has been covered extensively in Indian as well as international media through newspapers, online articles, and other means. Though the public is well-aware of the thousands suffering in these areas, collective efforts have not been transformed into action.
In this hour of crisis, extending a hand of support for the displaced community in Sri Lanka. After analyzing the needs of community, Sewa International believes that the most beneficial way to help during this man-made calamity is through sending medical assistance and other basic relief materials.
Our Appeal:
Sewa International is determined to reach out to the thousands of people affected by the war in the Northern and Northeastern parts of Sri Lanka. The war has ravaged multiple states of Sri Lanka and, in particular, the Tamil population. The Tamil community is in dire of the basic necessities including food, shelter, and medical assistance as well as counseling for those distressed from the war.
We appeal to the benevolent individuals in the society as well as establishment who are willing to extend a helping hand in serving the war-torn society in Sri Lanka.

Our Aim:
1. To provide food and other household needs.
2. Medical relief including medicines.
3. To provide trauma care and support.
We urgently request your help to continue and improve this substantial effort.

Needs of the Displaced Sri Lankans:
* A set of 6 Blankets and mosquito nets for a family - Rs.1500/- ($30)
* Medical needs for a family for one month - Rs.2500/- ($50)
* Providing food for a family for a period of 15 days- Rs.2500/- ($50)
* Cost of sending a medical team to Sri Lanka for 3 months- 2 Doctors+ 4 Medical assistants including travel, conveyance, lodging & boarding, cost of medicine, etc. – Rs.30,000/- per day. Total - Rs. 2750,000/- Rs. Twenty Seven Lakhs fifty Thousand only. ($55000/-)
