St. Vincent House is a dedicated hospitality house that serves as a home away from home for families who struggle financially with the costs of hotels and food in order to be near a loved one who is hospitalized.

Sewa Indianapolis chapter prepares dinner once a month and Drops Breakfast for the next day.

It is our tiny effort to provide the comforts of home so that a family can maintain their daily rituals as much as possible amid tough circumstances.

Youth Engagement Program for High School Students (8th thru 12th Grade)

Program Info:

LEAD (Leadership) Program is a Sewa International Volunteer Development Program for High School students 8th thru 12th Grades.

It is designed for the wholistic development of the teenagers.
It provides a platform to the participants to serve the greater community and experience the joy of giving.
It introduces socially conscious leadership in youngsters.

Program Objectives:

Expose the youth to socially conscious leadership in the community
Experience the joy of giving by getting involved in the community service projects
Develop a strong sense of inspiration and motivation as they venture into the world

Program Details:

Program duration: October 1st, 2025 - August 31st, 2026

Minimum 75 hours of community service
High-School Student
Remain Active in the program year-round
Weekend community service during School year
Immersion hours during Summer (weekdays and Weekend)
Community Service hours outside of Sewa are not transferable
Parent participation as Volunteer
Sewa volunteering hours are not to replace credit at school classes (Gym, Orchestra, Other Curriculum activity).
Selection criteria: Limited seats, on first come first served basis. Open to all racial, ethnic, religious, and gender backgrounds.

Youth Engagement Program for High School Students

The LEAD program is designed to inspire and equip high school students with essential leadership skills while nurturing a strong sense of social responsibility. Our goal is to cultivate socially conscious leaders who not only excel academically but also actively contribute to creating a better world for all.

By participating in the LEAD program, you'll engage in hands-on volunteering, dynamic expert-led workshops, and thought-provoking speaker sessions.

Key program details include:

Program duration is from October 1st, 2025, to September 30th, 2026.
Each registered student will receive a Sewa shirt for event participation, so please select your correct size during registration.
A mandatory 2-hour in-person meeting will occur on a designated Sunday each month. Details regarding the meetings and its timings will be communicated before the LEAD program begins. These meetings offer students the opportunity to meet our adult leaders, connect with fellow LEAD students, engage in project discussions, share ideas, and build an effective leadership network.
Quarterly in-person Speaker Series (a chance to interact with accomplished personalities) attendance is mandatory for all LEAD students.

These experiences will ignite your leadership passion, enhance collaborative skills, and guide you in making meaningful community contributions. As you embark on this transformative journey, your registration reflects dedication to personal growth, cooperation, and positive impact. Join us in shaping a generation of impactful leaders.

Every Step You Take Educates a Child

Join Sewa International Maryland Chapter at Centennial Park for a community 5K Walk/Run supporting education for underserved children in local communities, on April 12, Saturday, 8 AM to 12 PM.

All ages and fitness levels
Families, seniors, and specially-abled participants
Yoga practitioners (yoga and meditation sessions are planned)
Pets welcome (should be leashed at all times)
Participants will receive Sewa T-shirt, Water Bottle and Snacks
