Wisconsin Singing Idol Competition 2025 - Guidelines

Part 1: Online Performance submission

• Contestant to submit song video online on their Facebook or Instagram. 
• Up to 30 points based on likes by audience on the post. 
• Song must have been recorded after 15th Aug. 
• Post must clearly call out competition name and URL link. It will also help organizers get publicity of the fundraiser cause. 
• E.g.  of basic required details... feel free to add anything else.  <Contestant> is participating in Sewa Singing idol competition. Please visit sewausa.org/mke-singingidol25  for more details. Please like this post. 

Part 2: On Stage Performance submission 

• Contestant gets 4 min per song (15 sec grace time). It is perfectly fine and encouraged to end the song earlier but exceeding the time limit will result in negative points.
• Karaoke music would be provided by the participant. Shruti is allowed but other live instrument (tabla, guiter etc.) is NOT allowed.
• Group contains maximum 5 participants.
• Up to 140 points would be evaluated by a team of judges.
• Up to 30 points would be decided based on audience votes. Please encourage your friends to join the contest and vote for you (and other contestants) using a physical form.  
• Audience entry is completely FREE.
• Reading the lyrics from a paper is not encouraged but allowed whereas holding or using any electronic device (phone etc.) in hand or otherwise (for queues or feedback) is not allowed.
• The participants will be penalized for not following the rules on time limits.
• This is an “Indian film songs” competition. participants singing non filmy classical music renditions will be disqualified.
