Montville Community Garden |
On May 3rd, Sewa North Jersey launched its Spring–Fall Community Garden Program at Montville, NJ, with an incredible turnout of enthusiastic LEADs, parents, and To our surprise, even the “Veterans” from Montville couldn’t resist joining us and distributed Ice Creams to all the Volunteers. From day one, volunteers came together to build the foundational infrastructure for two newly leased garden plots from the township. The momentum didn’t stop there. By the end of Month #1, over 74 dedicated volunteers had contributed a combined 270+ service hours toward: Installing fencing and garden layout Constructing custom doors and structural supports Preparing soil and planting a wide range of fruits and vegetable We’re especially excited to announce the formation of three specialized LEAD volunteer teams: Engineering & Design Marketing & Communications Finance. These teams will carry the project forward, applying real-world skills and leadership in a hands-on community setting. We extend our heartfelt thanks to every volunteer—new and returning—for your energy, time, and commitment to sustainability. Together, we're not just growing a garden—we're cultivating a stronger, greener, and more connected community. |
