Program Info:
LEAD (Leadership) Program is a Sewa International Volunteer Development Program for High School students 8th thru 12th Grades.
It is designed for the wholistic development of the teenagers.
It provides a platform to the participants to serve the greater community and experience the joy of giving.

The LEAD program is designed to inspire and equip high school students with essential leadership skills while nurturing a strong sense of social responsibility. Our goal is to cultivate socially conscious leaders who not only excel academically but also actively contribute in creating a better world for all.
1. Program duration is from Dec 1st, 2023, to Nov, 2024.
2. Each registered student will receive a Sewa shirt for event participation, so please select your correct size during registration.
3. Quarterly in-person Speaker Series (a chance to interact with accomplished personalities) attendance is mandatory for all LEAD students.
4. Registration to LEAD offers the opportunity to apply to our exclusive Design to Lead (DTL) program, by invitation only for selected students.

Sewa Phoenix LEAD 2024
(LEAD - Leadership, Education And Development)
General Eligibility: Incoming and Current High Schoolers (Grade 8-12). All participants should always exhibit commitment to the values of Sewa and act with integrity and discipline.
Program Dates : January 1st 2024 to October 31st, 2024
Selection Criteria: Limited seats; enrolled on a first-come first-serve basis. Open to all nationalities, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
Registration Fee: $100 per student
Registration Deadline: December 31st, 2023
Commitment : Each participant is expected to commit to at least 35 hours of volunteering.
As a part of the LEAD program, young adults are provided with opportunities to participate and / or lead various activities and to earn volunteering hours. Sewa International will provide certificates as well as a recommendation for Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) for qualified participants.

Eligibility for Design To Lead (DTL): Minimum 1 year experience with LEAD and currently in Grade 9 or above
Program Dates : January to October 2024
Registration Fee: $100 per student. $75 for each sibling
Registration Deadline: November 30, 2023
Commitment: All participants should exhibit commitment to the values of Sewa and act with integrity and discipline always. Each participant is expected to commit to at least 75 hours of volunteering. Each DTL participant needs to commit to consistent participation for the weekly learning sessions. Parents need to commit to being the onsite coordinator for at least 2 activities during the year. Parents of DTL participants need to be a mentor for their child's team on a rotational basis.
Benefits: As a part of the LEAD program, young adults are provided with opportunities to participate and / or lead various activities and to earn volunteering hours. Sewa International will provide certificates as well as a recommendation for The President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) for qualified participants. Volunteering hours accumulated through LEAD activities will only be counted.

St. Vincent House is a dedicated hospitality house that serves as a home away from home for families who struggle financially with the costs of hotels and food in order to be near a loved one who is hospitalized.
Sewa Indianapolis chapter prepares dinner once a month and Drops Breakfast for the next day.
It is our tiny effort to provide the comforts of home so that a family can maintain their daily rituals as much as possible amid tough circumstances.

The purpose of the convention is to provide a platform to present the work done by LEADS throughout the year, interact with each other, get motivated by listening to inspirational speeches, participate in a live panel discussion on the topic of their choice and pass a resolution on our theme.
Let’s celebrate their success and encourage our future leaders and change makers.
The convention consists of 4 sessions and will include a workshop for the Parents, Volunteers and Visitors.
Topic - Climate Change and Sustainability: Exploring ways to reduce carbon footprints and promote environmental awareness.
NYC will be split into 4 different sessions: Session 1 - Welcome, National Anthem, Sewa Geet, National LEAD Presentation, and Regional Video presentation Session 2 - Keynote Speech, and Regional Video Presentations Session 3 - Workshop on "Climate Change and Sustainability: Exploring ways to reduce carbon footprints and promote environmental awareness " Session 4 - Resolution Passage, Regional Video Presentations
Sewa's core values are based on the ancient Hindu wisdom of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, but we live in a world where multiple faiths coexist peacefully. To find out more about how Sewa fulfills its mission while remaining true to its core values, please register for the event and opt for the workshop.

Sewa USA Welcomes You to Yoga Workshop

Sewa International has partnered with GreenFriends Farm for this event. Volunteers will contribute to both indoor and outdoor activities at GreenFriends Farm. Outdoors, you will assist in beautifying the Garden and Orchard through activities such as harvesting, weeding, tree care, fencing and creating a walking path with mulch. Indoors, volunteers will help in the Temple with organizing and cleaning projects.

Cricket for Sewa PA/DE 2024

Join us on Sunday, Sept 08, 2024 at the beautiful Occoquan Regional Park to participate in the Sewa DC Annual 5K Run in association with AmeriCorps and 9/11 Day of Service. This year Sewa joined hands with AmeriCorps and organized multiple activities. The events were environment-related and were conducted to honor the fallen heroes of 9/11 and to celebrate Unity and Resiliency.
Check-in starts at 8:00 AM. Please plan to arrive at the location early on to collect your T-shirt and the Bib.
The run starts promptly at 9:00 AM and you are required to assemble at the start line before the race begins.
If you wish to attend the culmination event of the "9/11 National Day of Service" and be a part of experience and support the cause without participating in the run, please feel free to register and join us.

Join us for the Cleveland Chapter's 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, Sept. 22nd at 9 AM EST! All proceeds support the ASPIRE Tutoring program to provide quality education and boost high school graduation rates among at-risk urban students.
For discounted registration, please submit pre-registration by Sept. 18th by 9 AM EST using the link below. Race-day registration starts at 7:30 AM. Top male and female performers in various age categories receive medals!
The first 150 registrants also receive a free t-shirt! Please encourage you to have your friends and family join.

Each team needs to potentially plan players availability for only 2 dates as described below. Day 1:8am-8pm - choose from Sep 28th and Day 2: 8am-8pm - Sep 29th: Pre-quarters, Quarters, Semis, Finals and award ceremony Entire tournament will be held in knockout format.
