Sewa Day of Service

The 9/11 National Day of Service was established through the Kennedy Serve America Act, passed by Congress in 2009, to commemorate the lives lost and honor the heroes who bravely responded in the face of tragedy.

As two decades have passed since the fateful day of 9/11, it's essential to pay tribute and remember the sacrifices made. We honor the heroes, armed forces, first responders, and countless others who selflessly served to protect our nation's freedom.

Observed every September 11, the National Day of Service and Remembrance invites Americans of all ages and backgrounds to engage in community service projects. This act is a meaningful way to commemorate the lives and service of those lost on September 11. By coming together, we can bridge divides, differences, and ideologies, working alongside neighbors and strangers to strengthen the bonds within our communities.

We invite you to join us on the 9/11 Day of Service, specifically on September 11, 2024, to create a positive impact and honor the spirit of unity and service that emerged after 9/11.
