Role: Social Media Intern​

Location: Remote ​

Start Date: February 2024​​

Roles & Responsibilities:​

(1) To create and operationalize a regular rhythm to aggregate and post Sewa DC chapter activities on social media like Facebook and Instagram​

(2) Tag appropriate members of Sewa Core team and other participating organizations to maximize the outreach​

(3) Work with Sewa National social media team to report and/or track their posts for DC Chapter​

(4) Research how other nonprofits are using social media to expand their outreach, bring some best practices to Sewa DC Chapter posts​

(5) Create fundraising posts for Sewa DC for events and/or natural disasters

Role: Digital Media Intern (2 Positions)​

Location: Remote ​

Start Date: February 2024​

Roles & Responsibilities:​

(1) Responsible for creating original digital media (photos, videos, stories, animations) content for Sewa DC chapter including taking pictures at the events, creating brief videos​

(2) Interview key donors and create 1-2 minute videos on what inspired them to donate to Sewa ​

(3) Interview members of supporting organizations and create 1-2 minute videos on how Sewa has helped them​

(4) Attend Sewa events and take pictures that can be shared with Social Media intern to post on various sites​

(5) If unable to attend the event, coach the attendees on how to take pictures to have maximum social media impact​

(6) Maintain a repository of photos and curated content that would be obtained from event Leaders & Organizers of various SEWA activities.​

Role: Newsletter and Email Marketing Intern​

Location: Remote ​

Start Date: February 2024​

Roles & Responsibilities:​

(1) Lead creation of a monthly newsletter for SEWA Activities that would be shared with various internal & external stakeholders. You would also manage hosting the newsletter on SEWA DC Chapter's web pages.​

(2) Work closely with Digital media intern to cover the events to get maximum understanding of benefits provided to the society​

(3) Work with Sewa National marketing team to provide information about DC chapter activities to them and incorporate some national program details to DC newsletter​

(4) Research how other nonprofits are using newsletters to expand their outreach, bring some best practices to Sewa DC Chapter​

Role: Music (DJ) Intern (2 positions)​

Location: Remote ​

Start Date: February 2024​

Roles & Responsibilities:​

(1) Responsible for providing music and entertainment at the Sewa DC events​

(2) Maintain Sewa DC event appropriate playlists for e.g. 5K Run and use a high tempo music, temple cleanup events may need a temple approved playlist.​

(3) Plan to attend various Sewa events, inspect the event location prior to event for set up, power source and other infrastructure needed to play the music​

(4) Looking for someone who enjoys the music and has the passion for entertainment​
