Serve Bay Area - GreenFriends Farm [December 2025]

Sewa International has partnered with GreenFriends Farm for this event. Volunteers will help dig holes and fill them with a mixture of soil and planting mix, then plant Grevillea trees to support local bees, along with fruit trees. 

In addition to the nature project, the following volunteer opportunity is also available:

• Knitting Hats for homeless and Scarves for hospice patients

Location: 10200 Crow Canyon Rd, Castro Valley, CA 94552

Additional Details:

1. All volunteers are welcome, regardless of experience level. GreenFriends volunteers will provide training and guidance for all tasks.
2. Please dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes for outdoor activities.
3. Consider bringing your own knitting needles such as 11, 13 or 15 bulky weight yarn. Michael's or Hobby Lobby sell knitting supplies. Supplies will be provide if volunteers don't bring their own.
4. Snacks, refreshments and vegetarian lunch will be provided.
